Story
Strategy · SEO · Editorial
I started writing as a student, took a first freelance article for almost nothing, and the drive kept me going. Rooah gave me an agency seat where I grew from a writer to a strategist. I further learned how to manage the whole process at WADM LTD, from technical SEO and content marketing to mentoring writers.
I've worked with clients across the UK, US, and Australia, on subjects from industrial and B2B to health, automotive, and travel. I hold an MSc in Marketing and a BSc in Agriculture, and I'm open to permanent, in-house roles as well as projects. The two case studies below are the turning points, and the samples after them are grouped by skill.
Case study · Naija FM (Rooah)
An entertainment blog, from 2.4 million to the top 300k
At Rooah, I had the pleasure of managing Naija FM, an entertainment blog. It needed to grow its audience and visibility online.
I was charged with handling the web content and content management, and building the blog's reach.
What I did and why: I planned and produced web content on a steady schedule and managed publishing through the CMS, focusing on the subjects and formats the audience actually engaged with, so the blog kept pulling people back.
The result: Over about a year, the blog's global engagement rank climbed from around 2.4 million to the top 300k.
Source: Alexa global engagement rank. Alexa was retired in 2022.
Case study · SDVH (client work at WADM)
A rebuilt hire site that grew organic traffic 45% in two months
The client and the problem: SDVH is a UK vehicle rental company. The site was new, and it wasn't working, with little organic traffic and few leads coming in.
The goal was to rebuild the site and its content so it performed in search and brought in bookings.
What I did and why. The site was rebuilt from scratch, and I wrote most of the website content and the blog posts, built around the terms customers were actually searching for, so the pages could rank and turn visitors into enquiries.
The result: Organic traffic grew 45% within two months, with further steady growth after that. This brought in enquiries, bookings and calls for vehicle rental. Samples from this project are in the sections below.
